Pune Zoo

After the ABC Farm experience, we ventured to the Pune Zoo. It was the longest autorickshaw ride, if you do not count the trip to the airport. The German Bakery is in the NW and the zoo is in the SE.

The zoo does not have many animals, but it was ok to just walk on the paths. We arrived around 1:00, so it was hot and most of the animals were hidden in the shade. They have fewer animals than Lowry Park. Due to the dry season, most eveything is brown with a few pathces of green. No rain is scheduled until May, so the plants will have to wait.

The zoo is filled with signs everywhere you look. Enjoy the photos. The zoo is u-shaped and built around a lake, so we did see some water. There were several groups of school kids running all over, so their activity made-up for the lack of 4-legged animals plus a few turtles and snakes. Check out the colorful toilets!! No, we did not use the facilities. Cute on the outside is probably not cute on the inside.
